Overview
Ameritrain uses a Training, Development, Resources (TDR) approach for a "real world," affordable, support-based training system. Our courses are state-specific and our methods of delivery are developed to meet the needs of the individual learner in three unique ways:
- Online,
- Home Study, and
- Live Classes

Online
Online courses are text-based and available to you for a designated period, which allows you to set your own study pace. These courses are designed to meet state requirements and provide professional development mortgage education. Depending on state guidelines, online courses may be timed with user authentication.
Some states require a proctored exam, which is supervised. Proctored exam instructions are included with the designated courses. Once you have completed the course material, a test is made available to assess your level of comprehension. Upon successful completion of the test a certificate of completion can be printed. An original certificate with a corporate seal can be ordered from our online store.
Once you complete an online course you may take the same course in a live classroom setting within one year for the difference in the cost of the online course and the live course. Call 1-877-406-0333 for discount registrations.
Self Study
If you prefer to work at your own pace with printed materials, or if you prefer not to learn via an e-learning format, self-study courses are available. The courses are delivered by email, CD or printed material. Email courses are sent within 24 hours. CD and printed format courses are mailed within two business days of the order being placed. Tests for self-study courses may be taken online. Depending on state guidelines, self-study courses may be used to meet education pre-license and continuing education requirements.
Live Classes
Live classes are utilized for professional development and state educational requirements and are scheduled several months in advance. Live classes include a course manual to be used for future reference. Many live classes include computer-based training methods simulating a "real world" environment.
Once you complete a live class you may take the same course as a refresher at a later date at no charge, however, you must provide your own course manual. There is a cost to provide additional course material if you neglect to bring your course manual provided during the initial class. Refresher courses are subject to seating availability.

Immediate family members (spouse, parent, sibling or child) of the student can receive a 50 percent discount when taking the course at the same time. Call 1-877-406-0333 for discount registrations.
Testing
Tests are created for all course formats. Tests are also available as an assessment tool to determine your competency level. If you fail to meet the minimum standard of each subject area, you will be allowed to retake the test. Upon successfully passing a test, a certificate of completion can be printed immediately.
Security
Ameritrain takes every precaution to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline. Our secure server environment protects the integrity of your information and we retain sensitive information in a secure environment. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (i.e. accounting and customer relations) are granted access to personal information. All information is password protected to avoid unauthorized access.
Shipping
All online store purchases are emailed, mailed or shipped generally within 48 hours of placing an order. There is no delivery charge for emailed and mailed items. Shipped items carry a shipping charge based on size, weight and method of delivery.
Returns
Items may be returned for a full refund if unopened and returned within 10 days of receipt. If an item is damaged in shipping it may be returned for exchange at no cost to the purchaser.
Live class policy
Class registration must be completed by the fourth business day before a scheduled class.
You may cancel your registration for a class up to three business days before a scheduled class for a full refund. Cancellations after the full refund period and before the scheduled class begins will result in a credit towards a future class. No refunds are given for cancellations or no shows after the course has started.
A 10 percent rescheduling fee will be charged to reschedule. Ameritrain reserves the right to cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment or instructor illness. If a class is cancelled, you will be contacted by email and telephone to reschedule or arrange for a refund and/or credit. Ameritrain is not responsible for any losses incurred as a result of a course cancellation.

Except for reference materials in the public domain, all materials on this site and the design and organization of the site are owned and copyrighted by Ameritrain Mortgage Institute Corporation. No reproduction or transmission of the copyrighted materials at this site is permitted without the express written consent of Ameritrain.

Our responsibility to protect your privacy and confidentiality is taken very seriously. From time to time we enter into agreements with other companies to provide services to us or make products and services available to you. Under these agreements, the companies may receive information about you. They agree to safeguard this information and not use it for any other purpose.
Who is covered by the Privacy Policy
We provide our privacy policy to participants when they conduct business with our company. If we change our privacy policies to permit us to share additional information we have about you, as described below, or to permit disclosure to additional parties, you will be notified in advance. This privacy policy applies to current and former participants.
How we Gather Information
As part of providing you with mortgage training, we obtain information about you via our website or in person.
Information We Share
We do not share your information with any company whose products and services are being marketed unless you authorize us to do so. These companies are not allowed to use this information for purposes beyond specific authorization. We also may share information about you within our corporate family.
